Placing a Pet or Stray
Do you need to find a home for your pet or a stray? Please do not relinquish him or her to a shelter. Shelters are overwhelmed with homeless animals. Let us help you place him/her in a loving new family. Here is a vast array of resources to help you:
- Petfinder.com - A great resource for the care of homeless animals. You can place an ad, view current ads or search a database to find a pet that is right for you.
- Alleycat.org - The National Feral Cat Resource, Alley Cat Allies.
- Bestfriends.org - The home page of Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, the nation's largest no-kill shelter for formerly abused and abandoned pets.
- Neuteryourpet.org - Friends For Responsible Pet Care. A group dedicated to ending pet overpopulation and abuse. Great site to find animal rescues for specific breeds as well as detailed information on spaying and neutering your pet.
- Wonderpuppy.net - Often people feel they must give up their pets for various reasons. On these pages, you'll hopefully find some alternatives and be able to keep your animal. There is also lots of info here for those who would never dream of giving up their pet, but just need some advice on basic pet problems.
- Pbrc.net - The PBRC website is a virtual shelter and resource for owners and caretakers of American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers and pit bull mixes.
- 1-800-Save-A-Pet.Com - 1-800-Save-A-Pet.com is a non-profit pet adoption charity that helps shelters, humane societies, SPCA's, and pet rescue groups advertise their homeless pets to adopters.

- Helping People Help Pets (imom.org) - This site helps to better the lives of sick, injured and abused companion animals. They are dedicated to insure that no companion animal has to be euthanized simply because their caretaker is financially challenged.
