We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own, live within a fragile circle; easily and often breached. Unable to accept its awful gaps, we would still live no other way. We cherish memory as the only certain immortality, never fully understanding the neccesary plan, but knowing it is greater than the pain .... --- Irving Townsend ---

No wise man who ever lived could truly comfort the heart that has lost what it held most dear. Most people have experienced the loss of a loved one. So they try, each in their own way, to make you feel that they understand how sad you are.
The world understands less the pain of losing an animal. This is because many people have never felt for themselves the true love of an animal. So, you can not really expect these people to realize that your love for a pet may be greater than your love for the dearest people in your life.
The bond is different, and can never be put into words. It is a bond that only The Heart understands. (Author Martin Scot Kosins from Maya's First Rose)

Girl
My Girl - you showed strength while always being a lady; you displayed manners by greeting guests even when it was so hard to get to them; you showed grace to the very end. Thank you for the gift of letting me know it was OK to let you go. No need to say we will be together again. I know you are here with us now. My Girl.

The Galvin Family
Ruby - March 2009
Ruby passed way too early due to kidney failure. She was Daddy's little girl and DPR is so grateful that she spent her short time here on earth in so much love. Until we see you again Ruby, rest easy.
Pilot
1-30-09 Pilot came to us from Tazewell VA shelter. He got sick very quickly and passed away within 48 hours of becoming sick. He was a happy puppy full of life before getting sick. We hope we gave him joy in the short time he was with us. Until we meet up again my boy.
Tara
Good Afternoon,
I would like to take a few minutes to let you know that Tara is now with
her four legged friends in doggy Heaven. Tara was a great dog who touched our
hearts everyday she was with us. Tara recently passed from cancer. We did all
that we could for her until we felt it was time to put her down, so that she did
not suffer. Tara was the sweetest and most loving dog. She was very protective
and gentle with our babies and made the quality of our life amazing. As a dog
she did her job the best that any dog can and that was giving her love to us.
She did that exceptionally well!!!! We are in morn today as I am sure you know a
family member is a tough loss to bare! Tara will live on with us in our hearts
and bring joy and smiles to all of us as we continue to talk about all the
incredible times in the past that we had with her.
